Born in Taiwan in 1965, Lee settled in Hong Kong since 1970. He graduated from the
Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Graduate School of Fine Arts of Tunghai
University, Taiwan. He received his PhD in Chinese art history at the Arizona State
University.

Lee was a post-doctoral fellow at the Phoenix Art Museum and currently teaches at the
National Taiwan Normal University. Lee has held solo exhibitions at Michael Goedhuis,
London; the Chinese Porcelain Company, New York; Hanart TZ Gallery, Hong Kong; Xi Zhi
Tang Gallery, Taipei; etc. He has also participated in some important groups exhibitions at
the Saatchi Gallery, London; Musée des Arts d’Extrême-Orient, Geneva; Asian Art Museum,
San Francisco; National Art Museum of China, Beijing; Shanghai Museum; Hong Kong
Museum of Art; and Chung Shan National Gallery, Taipei.

Lee has been invited to deliver papers at various symposiums on modern Chinese art at
Cornell University, Harvard University, Phoenix Art Museum, National Art Museum of China,
Shandong Museum, etc.
